The ONERO Bone Health Program is a clinically supervised exercise program designed to improve bone strength, functional capacity, and confidence in people at risk of osteoporosis — including individuals affected by cancer and cancer treatment.

At The Positive Health Project, we are trained and licensed to deliver the ONERO program, tailoring it to your individual needs following a comprehensive assessment.

Spinal X-Ray

Who is Onero for?

The ONERO program may be suitable for people who:

  • Have osteopenia or osteoporosis

  • Are receiving or have received cancer treatments that affect bone health (e.g. endocrine therapy)

  • Have experienced early or treatment-induced menopause

  • Are concerned about bone loss, balance, or fracture risk

  • Want a structured, evidence-based exercise program delivered under professional supervision

Participation is always based on an individual assessment and medical referral where appropriate.

Kettlebells And Barbells

What makes Onero different?

ONERO is not a general gym or fitness class. It is a clinically designed exercise program delivered by trained health professionals.

Key features include:

  • Individual assessment before starting

  • Progressive, high-intensity resistance training tailored to you

  • Focus on safe technique, posture, and load progression

  • Ongoing monitoring of strength, balance, and functional outcomes

  • Delivered in a small, supervised clinical group setting

The program is designed to help participants exercise with confidence, knowing that movements and loads are appropriate for their bone health and medical background.

Cancer & Bone Health

Some cancer treatments — including chemotherapy and endocrine therapies — can increase the risk of bone loss and fracture. Exercise plays an important role in:

  • Maintaining bone density

  • Preserving muscle strength

  • Supporting balance and posture

  • Reducing falls risk

  • Improving confidence with movement

The ONERO program can be used as part of a broader supportive care approach for cancer survivors, in collaboration with the treating medical team.
